😂😂 I was FARRRRRR from gentle parented. Like the total opposite. However I could still tell it was from a place of love and I was also very spoilt at the same time. Kinda confusing. But I think with my children I’ll do the type of gentle parenting that’s still firm and strict.

I wasn’t and I don’t . My mom and dad provided a good balance though growing up as one was pretty stern / strict and the other less so so it was never too much or little any time for me growing up particularly while I was a young child

No and No

I was abused and watched my siblings be abused. I'm breaking generational traumas by following science. But idk what my parenting techniques would be

I wasn’t. I try to. I don’t always get it right, but I’m trying my best.

I wasn’t, but I wasn’t abused. I gentle parent when I feel like it’s appropriate.

Personally, I think kids need to hear the word no.

@Brittany correct me if in wrong, but gentle parenting doesn't mean you can't teach them no... or right and wrong... or anything with both positive and negative connotations...... it's just being more gentle than giving automatic punishments, or physical punishments for something we don't agree with/ want them doing

I was not. We got spanked if deemed necessary. We don't do that. I think we fall into the gentle parenting status, but i don't read into it too much because i don't care to label it. We just use reassurance. We use non-physical punishments when necessary. We help our kids to think about and understand the why's of things that we don't approve/agree with/allow, so they can try to learn better a they grow up. We take things away when it is called for. We try to let them have a say in how things happen on their life, but we always get the final say off we can't find a common ground easily.

@Ari I think you’re responding to the wrong person

There isn’t an option for ‘I wasn’t, I try to but after the 15th time asking I lose my shit’ 😂😂 3 year olds are chaos

@Brittany correct. Sorry!! :)
