I had one a couple of weeks ago. Just hook you up to the machine and you site for 20 mins (ish) then you have to be observed for about 30 mins after blood pressure etc and they kept listening to baby heart beat throughout too. I had no reaction. Was really straight forward. I felt better after the first week.
I had one a couple of weeks ago and was a bit nervous as didn't know what to expect but it was fine they just fit a cannula and then attached a drip I was on it for about 30 mins and then they just checked your blood pressure etc afterwards and how the baby is and then you can go I drove myself home. I felt tired for the next two days after but Dr said that was normal I'm feeling energetic now 2 weeks on. Xx
I had to have an iron infusion this pregnancy as I was fainting with how low my iron was, the infusion itself only took around 30 minutes and it definitely did make a difference in terms of energy, it did take a few weeks though to kick in! I had a very mild reaction, just a red rash on my arms but they decided not to go ahead with the 2nd infusion but I still think it made me feel a lot better even after one x
