38yo first pregnancy. Would like to know what to expect at first GP/midwife apt. I've read apt locations may vary - GP / home / hospital - what seems to be most common for first and subsequent appointments? I am in UK (Wales) Thanks
Does anyone work in a nursery and has been pregnant? How early did you tell the manager and how was it working throughout the pregnancy? I’m only 4 weeks but already finding it hard to lift the kids and do nappies etc
I know it’s still very very early but has anyone spoken to a midwife yet? It said on their website I’ll hear from them before 8 weeks but when I called them they said they’ll try do it before 10. Time couldn’t move slower if it tried 🤣
I’m sorry but the fact that you get seen 8 times in your WHOLE pregnancy as a second time mum (9 if you’re overdue) is just a joke. After my 16 week appointment today I don’t get seen by a midwife for 3 months! How is that okay? I honestly have nothing good to say about the NHS after my traumatic birth with my firs...
I have my booking appointment in 12 days (I’ll be 9 weeks) They’re unable to come to my home due to personal reasons so it’ll be a telephone call followed by blood tests the same day at my local hospital. What are they going to ask me over the phone?
I’m irregular but between 6-8dpo I think. Felt like I could see an extremely faint line but second guessing myself. Will re-test tomorrow but will be obsessing over this all day! More photos in comments.
Hey! What happens on 16 week midwife appointment? What do they ask etc.
I just got diagnosed at 29 weeks and I just keep stressing that I could have done better if I found out sooner :(
Hi everyone, I am 8 weeks pregnant but haven't heard from Basingstoke maternity unit about my first appointment. I did the self referral form from my GP at 5 weeks, I just wondered how long the typical wait is from submitting the form to having a first appointment booked?
Need to plan my day
Anyone else ever been put in or is on Lantus for their diabetes? I am 14w3d my MFM gave me Lantus. But, the endocrinologist says that’s not FDA approved and want me on humalin.
I've had my bloods done today, i will be 7 weeks on Thursday so 6 +5 weeks. I asked the staff at the hospital if this was correct for my number of weeks and they just said they can't tell how many weeks I am just that my levels are high enough for them to scan me so I'll be scanned on Saturday morning. They are 4749...
Just wondering if anyone might be able to help me with this. I’m currently pregnant with my second baby and for the past few weeks I’ve been feeling really jittery and light headed and the only thing that really alleviates it is eating. It feels a bit like low blood sugar. Coupled with headaches and a constant dry m...
I’m 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and I’ve been doing digital tests to see if my HCG is going up and it’s still say 2-3 after already getting 2-3 four days ago. Should I be worried that it’s not a 3+ yet? Just want some reassurance🥰xx
What size shoe are your LO in? My LG is a size 10F.
I have joined the GD (gestational diabetes) club for the second time! Two for two. In my last pregnancy, I was able to keep it under good control with diet. The goal is to do the same this time area. I have some concerns. This time around, I'm not as active. During my last pregnancy, I was still working at a hospita...

Had it with my last pregnancy but can't remember what it was called
As the title suggests! I have a facial and pregnancy massage booked in but I was wondering what do I wear for just accessing the spa. Is it worth buying a maternity swimsuit? If so does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you 🙏
