After Pregnancy
Has anyone had GD before? I know I'll have to get tested again after pregnancy for diabetes. Do you keep doing your finger pricks, or can you have a bit more free reign?

As Kaylah said. Your tested for 24 hours in hospital then you don’t have to do it again you have a blood test well I do at 6 weeks pp I think it is and then that’s it. But if you have more children it’s a good idea to keep your meter I found out I had it again at 9weeks but I wouldn’t of been tested for months
I got tested after birth, 6 months and then yearly after my last pregnancy x
I just had my first appointment with my diabetes nurse today and she told me once baby is born I can stop completely. I will be tested shortly after birth along with baby by my GP to make sure my levels are all back to normal and after that I will be tested yearly
