Chicken wings

I don’t know if anyone can help, but I’ve really been craving chicken wings and then recipe I used to use included flour or cornstarch but since I have now been diagnosed with gestational diabetes I can’t use anything like that. Does anyone have any alternatives that they’ve tried that don’t spike them? Or should I just cut out the flour part altogether?

Are you able to use bicarbonate of soda?

@gabi no 😔😔 it’s honestly so annoying! I just want some crispy chicken wings. I can use wholemeal versions but I feel like that would taste a bit weird.

@Sarah that annoying it's it 😞 not sure what else would make the wings crispy 🤔

Spelt flour love…make sure you season your chicken and also the spelt flour…if you find sprouted spelt flour that’s even better…you can lightly coat your chicken as well…also with flour use coconut flour, chickpea flours, quinoa flour with other recipes…but spelt flour is really popular in the vegan community as well as spelt oats because it’s the original wheat 🌾 and is higher in minerals and is also alkaline…dip your seasoned chicken in whisked egg and then in the seasoned spelt flour…you might. Be craving salt as well so you can use sea salt…

You want to eat grains that are higher in minerals and won’t spike your blood sugar, in moderation of course…I’m type 2 diabetic btw

Thank you so much!!! I’ll be trying this tomorrow x
