Hey in my first pregnant I was always on the edge of having it during the third trimester. I would be tested every week and was always one score away. I hated it too if I remember rightly it a was a drink and you wait for 1 hr to be tested. I’m 8 weeks and anticipating having to do it again.

I failed it miserably first time and it was two hours after the drink😩 if I have it again then fine but the thought of being diagnosed at 16 weeks is awful!

I had it in last pregnancy and had to do test again this time at 8 weeks just waiting for results hoping don't have it again as didn't find out till 28 weeks last time dreading having to manage for longer this time, but if don't have it have to do test again at 26 weeks to check haven't developed later so don't know which is worse hate the 2hr wait after test in stuffy waiting room!

I was also diagnosed at 37 weeks in my previous pregnancy. It was a false reading the first one I had as I fainted and was sick, so had it redone and it was okay… then I had too much fluid and was tested again which was positive. I’m only 8+3 at the moment and have my booking appointment on Tuesday.. I’m going to ask there..

@Nire what happens throughout the pregnancy if you are positive? I was told it would mean a possible C-section? I hope you’re negative it’s a long time to go.

@Claire omg 8 weeks?! I thought 16 weeks was early! I really hope you don’t have it. Yeah the 2 hour wait is long and they told me I couldn’t go for a walk or drink much water either as it could affect the result!

@Jodie yeah too much fluid was my reason for being tested also. Those 3/4 weeks of being diet controlled were brutal and I actually lost weight so dreading being diagnosed any earlier this time round!

@Petrice if I get it again I will have to diet😩 I’m already so small as well! It can sometimes mean section/induction depending on how controlled it is, but that doesn’t bother me as I’d rather my baby be delivered safely than put at any further risk

@Nire that doesn’t sound great you body wants what it wants when pregnant. All the best for your appointment and fingers crossed for you!

@Petrice thank you x
