On Easter day last year, I was lying on the couch in excruciating pain after egg retrieval. Two of my friends from uni announced their pregnancies at the same time in a chat, and another one replied to my congratulations with "we're just waiting for your announcement! What are you waiting for?". They had no idea of everything we were going through. I replied with "I hope to be able to make it someday but I was also hoping that at 39 yo you'd know better than to ask a woman this". I feel your pain but also a polite "none of your business" is quite liberating!

@Vit I feel what u are going through ..it's just that you are happy for them but sad for urself ..you are so so sad for yourself that you can't show them that u are genuinely happy for them ...in our community if i politely say "it's none of ur business" they feel really bad ..and I was like she is full term pregnant so i don't wanted to hurt her 😭

@Shell it's a difficult subject to push back on and you genuinely don't want to hurt their feelings. But you need to find a way to protect your own mental health. I was lucky, my next FET worked but I'll keep telling people that they need to be mindful of what they ask. They never know what someone is going through.
