Midwife Appointment

I'm currently 7w, self referred 20th Dec and still haven't heard anything 🥲

I'm 9 weeks today and had my appointment at 8 +2 but I self referred at 4+3 x

They like to see you just before 9 weeks x

I got mine through pretty quickly, although it’s not till the end of the month when going by my LMP I’ll potentially be 12 + 6. Seems late 😒

I got a call when I was 8 weeks to go through the questions and then got an in person one this Wednesday when I’ll be 8+6 to do all the tests. I submitted a request (had to fill out a form and return to my doctors) at just over 4 weeks, they called the book the appointments at 7+3 days. Maybe give them a chase if you’re close to 9 weeks.

@Sophie this seems very late. I would push for one sooner, I think some of the blood tests have to be done under 10 weeks.

I’ve only just self referred today and I’m 6+4. I feel like they’ll get you booked in no matter how early/late you are doing it.

My badger notes app came through when I was 10+3 (the app is when I’m 11+2). I self referred when I was I was 3+6 so they took forever

@Sophie this is late, I'm sure there's something they scan for but has to be done before 13 weeks! X

Thanks mamas. I'm going to give my midwife a text this morning and see if she can check I'm at least on the system as I'm almost 9 weeks and sure I was seen at 8 last time x

I was seen at 9 weeks, I think they tend to see you around 9 weeks. Don’t panic, there’s still time to have them contact you ♥️ when I self referred I was told they would contact me by 10 weeks x

I am 9w2d and have my appointment on Wednesday! I only had this appointment booked on 23rd dec x

I wasn’t seen until 10+1 but if they went off my last period as I only got a EPU scan for a previous miscarriage, I’d be technically 11 weeks (until they knew otherwise) so I think it just depends on how busy they are! But I’ve had it now & I’m booked in again in another 4 weeks when I’ll be 14 weeks x
