Owlet sock

And what has been your experience with the outlet sock? Do you recommend it? If now, why not? Mine is showing me very worrying fluctuating numbers

My opinion is it’s too much information and causes worry, you are an amazing mom! Don’t second guess yourself

I have it. I get fluctuating numbers sometimes. Like randomly oxygen at 92. The nightly average is 96 or 97. I try not to worry about it too much. I more use it to notice if there is a consistent downward trend. Talking with other moms, I don't think the sock is crazy accurate but it should show if their oxygen is continuously dropping

We tried using it, but returned it. It always had to be close to the base to work, if not, it beeped like crazy. And if it went off you have to press the base unit to silence it. Just wasn't a practical set up for us.

I’ve heard it gives lots of false readings… we stayed away from it! Plus it’s electricity pulsing on your baby as they sleep. Not something we wanted ❤️

We used it with both our kids. I loved it for peace of mind. My son did NICU time with a medical grade pulse ox and I can tell you they just fluctuate a lot in general. If they cough or sneeze or anything, in that moment they aren’t breathing, so you see a dip, then it goes immediately back up. It’s normal. That being said, numbers in the mid to high 90s aren’t concerning but if you see it staying in the low 90s for some time, that would be. But as with any technology, don’t put all your weight on one thing. Use your mom gut and if things seem off, trust your gut. Likewise if baby looks fine, lips are pink, and they’re breathing, they’re fine
