Gestational diabetes ?

I may sound stupid asking this but I’ve not had a diabetes check but when I Google gestational diabetes it says you usually get it mid pregnancy - towards the end, which I’m now 22 weeks yesterday, a lot of the signs I have read on the NHS website is what I’m having. Should I be worried ? Should I book a drs appointment to get this checked ? Anyone else experiencing this ? Xx

No don’t worry not everyone gets it only if you have certain risk factors. You would have booked in if you did. Speak to midwife if you’re worried x

They don’t start them til 24 weeks. I’ve been having a few symptoms myself and mines booked in, in 2 weeks due to bmi. Get in touch with your midwife. Or mention at your next appointment, and she should be able to get you booked in. Drs don’t do them, they’re different to a normal blood test.

I'm booked in for mine at 24 weeks each place is different with my first i had it at 28 weeks this time I'm having it at 24

i’m in staffordshire and they don’t refer you to get checked until around 28 weeks, not everyone gets referred, unless you have risk factors like high BMI, previous history of gestational diabetes, family history or having a geriatric (sorry ugly term) pregnancy they don’t usually make you have one. i have to have the test at 28 weeks because my dad was type 1 and i’m a bit of a fatty😂
