How do you figure out what to cook for dinner every night!

It’s just such an effort for me. I hate cooking. I really want to love it but it’s so long and even more of an effort when you have a small human lurking around 😂

Hey, no real advice but I generally batch cook every mince Dinner I do and orzoa and sauces, its cheaper and then also gives me a stash in the freezer for days I don't have a lot of time or can't think. I also batch cook pastry also however he is starting to become fussy on how these are re heated and as nurseey won't re heat anymore he refuses them. Meals I batch cook are Bolognaise Chilli Curry Curry sauce Pasta sauce Taco mix Mushroom and Brocoli orzo Tomato and veg orzo Cheese and bean pastry Fruit pastry I also buy Greek yoghurt and mix with Raspberries or passion fruit and keep those in the fridge x

I meal plan for the week the day before I go food shopping. So on a Thursday night I sit down and go through all my recipe books and choose 7 meals, then write the shopping list accordingly. We usually always have a mince dish that’ll do 2 days, at least 1 fish dish and the rest will be chicken in various ways. Sometimes we just have jacket potatoes too

I use a meal subscription box (currently Hello Fresh, but shop around for offers) for 3 days a week. I work full time so this just takes some pressure off planning meals for the week. And I find once I’ve got 3 meals picked, it’s easier to work out what to do for the other days

Same as @N 💞 - we plan our meals, including little madams for non-nursery days on a Sunday evening. We then alternate the Monday weekly shop between us to get ingredients. We’ll try to aim for at least 1 dish we can have over 2 nights & Saturday will be our takeaway evening.

Meal planning but also just a list of go to meals. Usually it’s a meat and rice for us

I can’t stand cooking either or thinking of what to eat everyday !! It’s the worst

I stick to the same meals most weeks, it makes my food shop easier and its one less thing to think about. Every now and then I’ll switch it up. Most of the time I make enough for 2 nights and a lot of meals I make are things I can do in one pot as it makes it so much easier! Favourites atm are chicken noodle soup, lentil curry, stir fry, cheesy broccoli pasta
