Home visits - midwives

Yeah my midwife called me today arranging a home visit. I don’t know what it’s for though

@Esther I’ve heard it’s to talk about safe sleep and to see where the baby will be sleeping. How many weeks are you? X

Ohhhh, I’m 27 weeks but they coming when I’m 29 weeks

I didn’t have one last time until the baby was born, and then it was the health visitor not a midwife. It was covid then, so not sure if that is why, or whether it’s dependent on the area you live in.

I think it depends where you live. I had a health visitor come out before baby was born. Midwife and health visitor came out after baby was born but they only came in one room and did not look where baby would be sleeping at night.

My midwife said she’d be doing a home visit around 34 weeks or so I think.

Mine came at my 25 week appointment x

In my first pregnancy they only came when baby was born, that was june 2023. Had no mention of it this time.
