I didn’t know it was needed for mums tbh, I just thought the babies got an injection
The babies do but I was told mums take vitamin K tablets too
Vitamin k is recommended to give to babies either orally x3 or x1 injections. Some babies are born without enough vitamin k to clot their blood and as a result can have bleeds on the brain . So it’s recommended that all babies has a small dose at birth to prevent this as babies aren’t screen to see which ones haven’t got enough. No side effects, just a vitamin like you might take vitamin c if you had a cold for instance. Of course though you don’t have to have it if you don’t want baby too
Not sure what to recommend but it’s good as it helps with clotting/blood!
