BM Claiming husband as Dependent
I’m not sure if anyone else has gone through this but my mind is BLOWN right now.
My husband lost his job after my insurance enrollment and we weren’t able to get him added. He has some medical appointments he needs to go to and applied for Medicaid to have coverage. Comes to find out he’s had medicaid since 2023 which is impossible cause he was working and didn’t qualify.
He calls the medicaid office and comes to find out his BM has been listing him as her dependent. We were both in shock but i’m curious. Has anyone dealt with this??? They broke up in 2018 and we’ve been married since 2021. Any advice on this one?? this is just like a little tip of the whole iceberg.

He made sure to report it as soon as he got off the phone, I’m just still in utter shock that she’d claim him as a dependent knowing damn well he works and is legally married 🤦🏻♀️

Nah bc she’s renewed her benefits multiple times over the years knowing he was on there. There’s no way she didn’t know.
