Normal or?

My little girl has been doing this for a while now. Started out with rocking on just her hands and knees, but she tends to sit and rock like this more. She does it all the time throughout the day, while eating (which is super stressful bc I don’t want her choking), in her crib, etc. I don’t know if it’s just normal or what, but sometimes it really overstimulates me with all the noise too. 😭 I feel so bad getting overstimulated and frustrated. I just don’t know why she does it all the time & I don’t want to pinpoint it as stimming bc I don’t think she shows other signs of autism.

My son does sounds like this especially when he’s going to sleep, and kicks his feet, he also shows no other signs. I think social media brings a great awareness for autism but a lot of the characteristics are also very normal toddler ones. Toddlers are weird sometimes lol!

My toddler does this and she dosent have autism.

My son does this and no signs of autism. I do have adhd myself though and i sometimes get a strange urge to slam my head into things, and I looked it up a while back and remember reading about how it is common for people with adhd to have that urge. I wouldn’t worry about the mental health aspect too much until your kiddo is a little older because sometimes toddler just be doin stuff. (I’m no expert, I may just be saying nonsense)

My daughter does this too, I asked her Dr about it they said it's soothing to her and especially since she's teething it could b helping her with the pain as well

My daughter does this and no she doesn’t have autism. I think it’s one of those normal behaviors around this age.

My son does this sometimes before going to bed. It could be a stim thing.
