Talking?

Anyone seven month old starting to stay words? I know I saw on the app one child saying Mum. I can’t see this happening any time soon 🤣

I'd still class it as babbling but my little boy says "mama" "dada" "baba" and "nanan" but definitely not in context, he just sits there saying them all randomly x

@Sophie wow that’s great

Babbling a lot but words would be pretty early. I'd say 10-12 months is more likely. You might get mama but it'd be babbling rather than words.

Just babbling here at the moment. My eldest was an early talker and I don’t think she was saying “mama” or “dada” with intention before 9 months or so!

Mine says dada mama baba, not in context though I think it’s more just babbling. Although she even throws in what sounds like hiya/hi and yeah sometimes which is very cute when you get what sounds like “hiya dada” and you ask if she’s saying hi to dada and she goes “yehhhh” 😂😂 xx

Mine definitely babbles but when she wakes up from nap or bed and wants me she’ll cry mama or if I leave the room she’ll crawl towards me crying mama. Me and my husband both hear it. But she doesn’t say it in context when she’s just playing, only when she’s crying and in distress lol

@Nikki same here😂 my little girl started babbling mama clearly yesterday but she only does it in context when she wants milk or is upset, breaks my heart hearing it on the baby monitor😩

My baby said on Saturday mama three times because she was hungry and when she wanted to be lifted up. She occasionally sais dada but mostly ba ba ba. When she is upset or frustrated she would make a 'mmmma' sound. I still melt down when I heard her saying mama, even if not in context 🫠😊

I swear my lo is saying dada hes 6 months as hes the end of june. I do have a toddler chatting away now. He isnt crawling yet.
