How long did you go without making your child wear shoes my sons 13 months and my partner has said he doesn’t want him wearing shoes often which is fine by me but i wanted to know what age you reckon they should where shoes when out and about he’s not walking fully but can take steps on his own quite well

I'd say once they are walking and getting in and out the pushchair

As soon as walking mine was in shoes outside. Our Nursery required shoes all the time as well.

When they are able to walk outside. It’s a safety thing. You never know what they might step on. My daughter had other thoughts on the matter and refused to wear shoes at all until she had been walking for eight months.

When they are walking. They don’t need shoes before then. Probably not whilst he is learning either. Bare foot is better whilst they are learning.

yeah that was the plan when he’s able to walk outside without stopping or falling over was my plan

Once they are walking properly and outside. It's advised not to put them in shoes until they are confident walking
