Weaning and water

Hey mamas! My little girl is 2 weeks away from turning 6 months and she’s showing me so many signs that she’s ready for some food! I just wanna try some little tastes with her atm, like some porridge in the mornings and maybe introducing some veggies, do I give her little sips of cool boiled water with her food at this age or do I wait until she’s actually 6 months old to introduce water as a drink?

We started at about the same time as you and we offered it in a Tum Tum cup as it has no valves and is good for them. He didn’t seem to drink any of it to begin with it’s just about learning how to drink from a cup for him. Most of it was spat out!

I started trying foods at this age but just offered tap water. Hv said 2 weeks won’t make much of a difference

I started just before 5 months and went straight to a cup with a straw, she picked up on that skill straight away and can see on the cup she's actually taking some in. Just remember only 1oz a day ☺️

Perfect, thank you everyone!❤️
