I was told to wait till he has teeth then I seen that it wasnā€™t and just got me confused. Also looking for more food ideas as well. He mostly has fruits, veggies, scrambled eggs, pancakes, baby oatm...

Food prescription??

Does anyone know?! I went to my health visitor drop in on Tuesday and we got to talking about dairy intolerance and food etc. She told me apparently I could get food on prescription for my 10 months old... I thought this was a little weird and I explained I am currently on maternity pay so I don't qualify for the h...

For those whoā€™s babies donā€™t eat much (not just a phase)

For those whoā€™s LO have never eaten much, Iā€™m not talking about LOs who may go off their food during sickness / teething etcā€¦ I mean, never been big on food. A few spoonfuls a meal is a success sort of thing What are you planning to do / doing about it? Is it a case of trusting the process and that they may just b...

Self feeding

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations on how to start letting a baby feed themselves? My baby is 8 months and has no interest in doing it herself. She just uses the spoon as a drumstick and was never one to put things in her mouth so she just plays with her banana puffs and throws them on the flooršŸ¤£

Starting solids at what age

What age did you start solids at? Did you wait til 6 months? Did you start a bit early. Hereā€™s my issue: I go back to work a few days before she is officially six months. I really didnā€™t want the nanny to be introducing solids as to I wanted to be the one to experience that with her. Itā€™s not so much about allerg...

Not eating

My toddler is 19 months and he is usually an eater!!! He would eat anything you put in front of him, all his meals, etc. we had no worries because he was not picky As of yesterday, itā€™s so weird. The minute I try to get him to eat any meal, full on tantrum saying no. He doesnā€™t warm to want to eat. Heā€™ll ask for s...

Weaning at 5 months ?!

My LG is showing a lot of signs that sheā€™s ready for food, sitting up my herself, able to put things in her mouth independently and has great head control. She also tried to grab my food and eat it. Sheā€™s been really fussy in the day and never full anymore too. Iā€™m worried as itā€™s recommend to wait till 6 months. H...

Breakfast

Hey, my daughter really enjoys wheatabix for breakfast and I do find myself giving that to her most days, am I a bad mum in doing this? She enjoys it and I admit I probably do it for ease as I know sheā€™ll eat it. What are other peopleā€™s thoughts on this? Xxx

Does anybody on here give their baby food pouches only? I am not keen on blw but worry that I should be giving foods rather than pouches.

Pincer grip šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

My LG has been working on her pincer grip, which sounds like a cause for celebration... But now we have to hoover multiple times a day because she tries to pick up even the tiniest pieces of dirt, dust and hair and eat them. And at meal times she is ignoring the big pieces of food and spending an inordinate amount o...

Picky Eater issues: My 3 year old will no longer eat anything besides noodles, chicken nuggets chocolate & pretzels, sometimes apples, oranges, grapes, but thatā€™s it šŸ˜³

Iā€™m so tired of offering her new foods for her to swat away and scream at me, itā€™s so frustrating and stressing me out because Iā€™m worried about her being nutrient deficient. What can a pediatrician do to help besides what Iā€™m already doing? What actually works you guys? Can I give her vitamins in the mean time? Giv...

Feeding not going so well

My baby has been on solids for about a month and it seems to be getting worse! Sheā€™s realised now that she can just clamp her mouth shut. Iā€™ve tried giving her finger foods but the only thing she will eat this way is toast. Does it eventually just click for them and they become good eaters? So far Iā€™ve been just try...

Should I seek a professional?

So my lg has always struggled to eat well I think. Before when Ive tried to feed her she would refuse but recently I am able to feed her and sheā€™ll take it just fine but it can take up to hours to finish one single meal, it consumes my whole day tbh. She has to have the TV on or weā€™d be playing in the play pen in or...
