Baby hates carđźš—

Anyone else going through the same? My little boy absolutely hates the car. He will scream the whole journey unless he’s fallen asleep. It’s so overstimulating trying to concentrate on driving and listen to him crying. I’m having to pull over multiple times just to calm him down. Any tips please? I’ve tried rattles, musical toys to keep him distracted but no luck. I also have a car mirror so he can see me but still no luck. I’ve been looking at the baby Einstein aquarium soother but I think that only goes onto a cot not anywhere in the car?

We had this, and in the pram too, I really feel for you it’s quite traumatic. Eventually I took him to see an osteopath who told us he had some tension in his neck and back, which she thought could be the cause. She released the tension over two sessions. He was much better straight away and now, a month on, he almost always sleeps in the car and only really cries if he’s over tired (which generally ends up in him sleeping too).

Our daughter is okay for about 15 minutes and then it’s game over until she cries herself to sleep. Our first was the same and she eventually grew out of it. Not always possible but we just tried to keep long journeys to a minimum until she could tolerate it more. Is your baby in an infant carrier? X

Our first daughter hated the car with a passion. I ended up changing her seat to the joie 360, playing her music and white noise, putting pictures of us around her car mirror. Hard to say if any of these were the key but she improved. She’s 2 now and loves the car so don’t stress! X

I feel for you my lo is exactly the same changed car seats as she has bad reflux it's not made much difference
