I would honestly save your money and use a blender if you already have one and steam the food on the stove if need be. I have the Bullet Baby and while I love it, I could have used that money for a new purse or something lol. I just thought it would be cool but I could have just used the NutriBullet I already had. Really the only pro was the convenience of having a steamer and blender in one. I also only used it for like 3-4 months with my daughter because she very shortly after started eating actual solids. It’s been over a year and a half and it’s just collecting dust on my counter. So that’s another thing, if you don’t plan on feeding purées for long then it may not be worth it. I mostly used it for homemade pouches and baby smoothies.
I honestly think it depends on what feeding style you plan on doing with your baby I never had a baby food machine. We started with normal purées and stuff from Gerber and by the time he was five months old, he was fully eating whatever we ate because he did not want the purées. He wanted whatever we were eating so I just let him by the time he was 8 months old. He was eating chicken and rice for lunch
I used a regular immersion blender and honestly, not for very long. Maybe 3 months. We did a mix of BLW and puree, but were pretty much done with puree by 10 months. The one thing I did get that I would recommend is silicon freezing trays for baby food from Amazon. Lifesaver! I batch made my purees, froze in 1 oz portions, and I could take out as much as I wanted. The silicone made it super easy to remove them, and I plan to keep them for making things like fruitcicles in the summer.
I have the Grownsy Baby food maker with the steam basket and I use it pretty much daily for purées or just steaming fruits/veggies to make them soft for BLW. I honestly love it and will continue to use it when my baby is a toddler to steam veggies for the convenience of being able to turn it on walk away and do other things while it does its thing versus having to cut a stove on/off if that makes sense. I started using it at 6mos and my son is now 9 mos and I still use it a lot
Baby food blenders are just a way for them to try and squeeze more money out of parents. You can just use a regular blender, it's literally the same it just can't hold as much so after a month of weaning it's useless x
No, I just use a hand blender
I make my baby's food in my regular ninja blender.
Unpopular opinion but for us it was so worth it. We got the Beaba Babycook Neo and it was pricey but I feel like I made it up with time saved not having to be at the stove or cleaning a bunch of extra tools (and that model is stainless steel and glass vs plastic, if that matters to you). It was so nice to just grab a protein and a veggie or two, throw them in, and just let it run.
No definitely not needed. They have purées for such a short amount of time I wouldn’t bother
I have the bear and I think I used it a handful of times. But I think it depends on what kind of method you’re using, I did mostly BLW with some purée and for us was just not worth it
We got the beaba babycook and its been so handy. I got called extra for getting one but for myself, it was definitely worth it
I've brought second hand baby breeza. At first it was convenient. You can set it and leave it till it done. But when you have to make batches then it will take more time. Stove cook steaming was also alot more faster even if you have to watch it. In end no not really worth it. I end up just using hand blender or regular blender.
My rice cooker dobles as a steamer, and just use a plain nutribullet. Not worth spending the money in my opinion.
We did baby led weaning, didn't puree a thing

Defiantly use your own blender I gave over 150 and realised it was pointless.
