Alone with baby?

How am I supposed to cook, or eat, or shower, or wash up? How do you do those things if you have a 1 year old screaming at your feet. I just don't do the things 🤷🏻‍♀️

I shower with him in the room which usually ends up with him crawling into the shower with me but at this point I just embrace it 🤣

@Kirsty I've done that but he runs about and slips, or goes and wees on the mats, or sits there and shivers naked on the floor

Mine helps in kitchen has a helper to worktop give him little tasks. Shower usually comes in bathroom, passes me his toys. And eating he and I eat together even if I have small bit then eat more once he is asleep

Play pen. Stair gate

Pop him in the high chair and offer a snack which works for me when I need to eat or cook. Showering I often wait till she’s asleep or my partner is home so he can look after her/watch baby monitor. And cleaning I’ll either again pop her in the highchair or if I’m cleaning the living room/hoovering and dusting she just potters about “helping” me x

@Scarlett he screams like his arms and legs are falling off 😳

These are all good tips, and if you can, setting them up with a task or activity before you start can usually buy you some time, but just want to acknowledge that it is actually super hard! You're not wrong to find it hard.

Play pen! We're getting our girl used to hers now at 8 months old!

Can you put him in the cot , chair, play pen etc with toys? Even if you need to put something on the TV for abit to help you get something done

Yup basically, I don’t do the things!

I feel you, my almost 2 years old shout and screams a lot too, and often just for attention...can't really do much and no village
