They have walk in days check to see when it is. For mine it’s Mondays
they randomly took me off and i haven’t been able to get a hold of them for a month. i just scheduled an appointment on the app. going into the office is the most effective way to get anything done tbh
@Kaliyah you were able to schedule an in person appointment? No long waits?? Maybe I’ll try that too. The lady told me they take you off the list if you don’t answer the phone and they don’t leave a voicemail AND most of the times it can show up as a spam call so she told me to answer every call otherwise they’ll take me off. And she said I’ll definitely get a call before end of march cause a lot of people don’t answer so they go through the list fast. So weird that it works like that
@Charlisa will do thank you!
@Parker 又 yea I’ll just do that. Where you able to get it now or still waiting?
We’re rocking with only one car in our family :/ so we haven’t made it over to the office when their actually open yet But my efforts via email and phone calls have been awful lmfao there’s zero response from the office over here through those methods
yeah, i have in person appointment. i think i got taken off because i had to reschedule an appointment and didn’t call them first. and if that’s why then why give the option on the app to reschedule? idk WIC helpful the process is a bit annoying tbh
@Kaliyah right! It’s an annoying process ugh I’ll schedule for in person too
@Parker 又 so annoying, hopefully you’ll get it soon
Same to you!! The office is relatively close dad just works during the hours their open HAHAHHA after all the winter-ness is done my partner gets to break his motorcycle out again so I’ll have the car whenever at that point so hopefully 🤞🏼
That’s crazy there’s a waitlist. I’ve never been on a wic waitlist and I’ve applied twice. What state are you in?
@Chloe applied over phone or in person? I’m in Washington state
I am on wic but I signed up like 6 years ago it was sometime ago. When my eldest was a baby and I was pregnant with him, and he’s 5 now. Hopefully you can get it figured out
@Lucy Sundin thank you I hope so. Does it help your family out a lot? I am not sure how it really works and don’t know anyone on it

Yes, they get backed up and usually observe county holidays which there has been quite a few recently they do have walk in days just know you could be there a while but it’s the best bet
If you formula feed it’s a huge help. It covered 7 cans a month for me. They will offer support if you decide that to breastfeed (I intailly tried breastfeeding with my first but I’ve mostly done formula since) They help with baby food too 6months to a year old. They help with the essentials most people eat. Bread, eggs, milk, juice, peanut butter, fruits and veggies, and cheese. The only thing is you have to used to buying exactly what brands they cover or exactly the weight that wic covers. This varies states to state but like for example, Milk has to be 1% or slim for them to cover it or bread has to be exactly 1lb and whole wheat and cheese has to be block cheese that’s 1lb, that’s Michigan it may vary in Washington.
Also we get EBT so when I can get to store I will buy my meat on EBT(since they’re less strict) and buy the veggies and fruits as sides for the meals, so it does help us stretch our food stamps further.
Both times I made an appointment over the phone to apply in person
Walk inside! Never wait ✋️
@Misty Rae will do! TY!!
@Lucy Sundin thank you that’s helpful info!
They didn’t even answer the phone when I called, LMFAO I’ve heard going directly into the office gets you the fastest results but I’d bet it depends on state & county beyond that
