Weaning worries

I am week 3 into weaning my little one, i originally started out combi weaning (a puree with a bit of the food) and he wasnt interested at all in the actual bit of food (ae tried brocolli, carrot and banana) but liked the puree. We stuck to puree weaning for the last 2 weeks and he just sometimes doesnt seem bothered at all by it, hes shown all signs hes ready to be weaned and when he loves something he wants more and feeds himself but most things he just kinda looks at me like ??? I know this can be completely normal but he usually either loves to do something or hates it so when he’s just sat like ??? its new to me. I find most time he’s trying stuff hes just like “meh when can i play” Im also finding myself comparing to other peoples weaning journeys and starting to feel like im doing something wrong Anyone else not having the best start with weaning?

My LG is a bit meh with food as well. She likes her porridge in the morning. All finger food I've done she's been disinterested. Purée is hit and miss. But it is a lesson at this stage, getting used to textures and tastes. Keep going, he will do it when he is ready x

Please don’t worry. Completely normal and there will be good days and bad days. Personally for me with my first I did puree until he was about 7 months then did finger food as he just wasn’t picking the food up. I also start with breakfast only for a month or so and then slowly introduce the next meal, and so on. It’s honestly a minefield but they will get there. Just keep offering for now. They’re still getting their milk which is the most important still at this age x

She likes her puree and have added in texture which is fine but looks at me like I'm mad when handing her a piece of broccoli or pasta. She doesn't seem to like getting her hands messy and is much happier feeding herself from the spoon. I'm just letting her lead, it's so early on and a lot to take in!!

Exactly the same as me! Try the Heinz baby porridge xx

Don’t worry- it’ll come. There’s no rush and it takes all babies different amounts of times.
