Aww I’m sorry. I’ve had it since 12 weeks and it’s a bit frustrating as you are checking your sugars 4 times a day but you can get quite creative with meals. A quick walk after meals help in keeping spikes low

It is the most frustrating journey u will ever go on but never think it's your fault its all to do with hormones and placenta darling metaformin works well for me stay away from any white foods was the advice I was given

I had it in my first pregnancy in 2023. Gestational Diabetes UK has a great website and Facebook group with lots of helpful articles/advice/recipes. If you can go for a short walk after each meal (15 -20 mins is fine). This will help lower your blood sugar after eating. High protein and high fat in each meal is needed to balance out the carbs/sugars.

I second the Facebook group - fabulous! And a walk after a meal if you can, or if you have a walking pad. My advice is it’s nothing you’ve done wrong at all. Everyone can tolerate different things so it’s trying foods out for a little bit to see, Facebook group and the website has the best advice to really explain it all and pairing foods x
