How to handle cluster feeding at night? While managing your day time insomnia? Also with a whole diminish in breast milk (I think due to stress)

Any advice on how to fix a shallow latch and fore-milk hind milk imbalance? My left nipple is so sore and I cringe at the thought of latching her. Right side is golden. We’ve been breastfeeding one side per session for a day so far.

Any idea when to consider therapy or antidepressants post partum? I have a hard time being happy and am mostly scared of everything right now.

@Bryona unfortunately most moms don’t do it anymore but co-sleeping is your best friend! It allows you to lay sideways, put nipple in baby’s mouth, & both go back to sleep easily. You can also pump & have partner take one night time shift with bottle so you can sleep. Or hire a day or night time Doula for that extra support so you can nap.

@Alisia Use a warm wash cloth at the back of your breast near armpit. Massage the heat in. This allows the fatty milk to come forward. If breast is too enlarged/hard then pump a little to soften it & bring nipple out, then latch.

@Kimberly if you talk to your doctor they will probably put you on antidepressants. However, I would try therapy first. I offer an alternative therapy for moms - check it out & see if it feels right. Www.birthingjourneys.care
