Yes they are fine as long as cooked through. I personally wouldn’t get them cooked and cold from a deli counter or something though because they are high risk for food poisoning. At home or in a restaurant cooked is perfectly safe though
@Yasmin amazing, thank you! Yes they are the cooked and ready to eat prawns you can get from Tesco. I was going to put them in a pasta. I had initially brought these prawns before finding out I was pregnant 😂 and now they need eating, so glad they aren’t going to waste!!
@Lauryn are Tesco cooked and ready to eat prawns not okay? I’ve had them before (pre pregnancy) and I’ve been okay. Don’t know if I should risk it now lol
Cooked and ready prawns are likely to be okay. The reason we're told not to have raw fish etc is because if we do get sick from bacteria it could be really risky and really serious for the baby. You're unlikely to get sick but just encouraged not to eat risky foods
@Elena thank you Elena, I think I’m just not going to risk it altogether 🥲
For the record I ate prawns this week - they were 'cooked and ready' but I cooked them anyway to make sure they were hot to eat with noodles
@Elena thank you, that’s reassuring 💖
Yeah they will be fine because they are sealed ☺️
Yes, as long as they’re cooked all the way through you’re okay.
