Looks good to me ! I would possibly suggest a chest clip , my toddler finds his way out of them straps unless the top is clipped too
@Olivia she will be with an adult in the back but I’ll look into it x
@Liv can you re explain this please my brain won’t process it but she will definitely rear face x
The only safe belt collector is the be safe one, other than that others aren’t crash tested and shouldn’t be used. If you have the correct fit (which looks alright to me), then you shouldn’t need to use anything as they shouldn’t be able to get their arms out
@Fay chest clips are really not to be used in the UK. The seats are designed to be able to release in one movement. It's illegal to sell a car seat with one x
@Rachel I may be mistaking you but are you admin on one of the car seat groups ? Thank you for the advice x
@Fay ha no I'm not, they're all a bit militant for me! I just have strong feelings about car seat safety, each to their own though x
To me it looks like the head rest needs to come up slightly
@Rachel do you know where I can find expiration date I know it’s a clock shape but I can’t find it anywhere 😂 x
Just to second that chest clips are commonly used in the US but are not advised in the UK.
@Fay I’m pretty sure that’s the one, but it’s more like a last resort thing. With the correct fit like I said they shouldn’t manage to get their arms out! There should be a 2 finger gap between their shoulders and the headrest I’m pretty sure so just double check. Britax say their expiration date is 6-10 years from manufacturing, it’ll be on the back somewhere I’d assume. I’ve never had to check mine because I bought mine brand new, we have the max safe pro!
Hii i got the exact same seat and same colour! The headrest needs to come up 1 click and then everything looks perfect x
@Georgina this is brand new as it’s safer I only asked as she also has the advansofix but didn’t realise ff so wondered if I could use this now and when she’s 7+ move to the advansofix hope this makes sense x
@Marissa thank you x

OK, so the straps have to come from above or at her shoulders if forward facing. The padding on the straps should be just below her shoulder, on her chest. I would definitely go somewhere that does this professionally, though.
@Olivia, chest clips are illegal where I live as they cause injuries in the event of a crash. I would urge you not to use them.
@Hannah do you have any info where it's says to come from above? Just everywhere I look says below?
@Hannah I have made a post on the car seat safety group x
@Hannah for rear facing definitely in line or just below.
All looks good to me! Keep her rearfacing as long as you can but after 15 months she can frontface if you prefer. Also just to add chest clips are actually illegal in the uk, that's why car seats are not sold with them. X
@Fay yeah it makes sense. It depends what centiles she’s following as she may outgrow it sooner, but the longer you can keep her rear facing the better 😊
@Hannah I’ve seen a lot of comments that they’re not safe but so is my child’s full top half his body not being in the car seat. And that would definitely cause injury in the event of a crash. so it swings and roundabouts 🤷♀️😂
@Rachel, my car seat says it has to come from above. Was told that when we got the seat fitted too.
@Olivia, I'd highly recommend researching about the safest ones available if you haven't already.
@Natasha, this is not what I've been told.
@Jennifer she’s 2.5 and will ve rear facing until seats grown out 🙂 x
@Hannah that's interesting! Which seat do you have?
@Georgina she’s 91st weight 99th height x
@Rachel I thought it was in line with the shoulders or just below x

@Rachel, I honestly don't remember.
So I can't find anywhere that says it's above for rear facing. It says "at or below." Forward facing is definitely above. I still urge you to ask a professional.
@Hannah problem is I don’t drive and don’t want her in car if not safe to visit them and the fb group won’t help because not bought from them x
@Hannah what brand is it?
@Fay it is
@Rachel, I told you, I honestly don't remember. My son is in a different car seat now and is forward face, and the straps currently have to come from above. Don't remember the brand of that carseat either.
@Fay, could someone else go for you? Could you call? I have done some research, and it appears that rear facing it is at or just below the shoulders. She should be safe.
@Hannah probably best to delete your earlier comment where you have given false information and incorrect advice 👍
@Hannah yep I’ve obviously already done that , unfortunately it’s just not feasible For most parents to follow every single guideline But I wasn’t asking for advise lol Maybe just stick to giving your “ advice” to those who ask for it.
@Olivia, how about no. If I feel a child is at risk, I'm not just going to not give advice because a parent might get offended. Kids' life trumps parent's ego every time. Turns out you are aware of the safety risks. You could have just said, "I'm aware and have taken steps to ensure my child is safe. Thank you for the heads up." You are protecting your child, and that's what matters. Have a nice day.
@Rachel, no, I will adjust it, but it's not false or incorrect. It's incomplete. I shall fix it.
@Hannah girl this isn’t my post , I didn’t ask for advice. Don’t give unsolicited advice. How about instead of presuming everyone’s incompetent of doing their own research or haven’t bothered, pressure were active good parents who’ve taken them basic steps 🥴. When you said they was unsafe , I said I knew , and had made that choice anyways , you’ve then presumed I’ve done no research on the safest one ? Come on Hannah 🤣 Have a nice ride on that high horse There’s a Facebook group you might like 😂🥴
@Olivia, it is not a high horse. I'm sorry if my concern offended you. Not everyone knows, and that's just fact. I didn't until I was told. My son doesn't need one at the moment, though. Also, you suggested one to someone who may not need it. That isn't safe as they may not know its a safety risk. I'd be grateful, not rude, if someone pointed out a safety concern.
@Hannah I’m not going to continue this back and forth with you , you was wrong 🤷♀️. I said I’d POSSIBLY suggest and stated the reason Id possibly suggest you get some glasses or reading lessons too seen as you can’t read my comment correctly 🫶🏼 Have a nice day :)
@Olivia, I don't need reading lessons. I'm aware you said possibly and explained why, but you didn't say to find the right one or suggest the safest one. Which is why it isn't safe. There is zero reason for you to be so damn rude. If someone sharing safety concerns and showing concern for your sons' well-being offends you, that's on you.
Looks correct to me! Only thing I can't tell is that you'll have to check is if she's rear facing the shoulder straps should be level or just below her shoulders where they attach to the seat behind her or level or just above if forward facing.
