Discrimination against families with children-what can I do?

We live in an apartment building, in December I asked the landlord if we could renew the lease that ends in February and he said yes, last week the broker told us that the landlord doesn’t wanna renew the lease anymore after saying yes. Then I asked for another apartment (different landlord) available in the same floor we live now and they gave us dumb reasons for not renting it to us I just found out the neighbors complained about my 8 month baby crying too much and me and my husband fighting (I have postpartum depression and really bad panic attacks and he is also depressed, we are under a lot of stress what makes us fight often) so the management has been doing everything to kick us out. Is there something I can do? I don’t wanna move since it’s not a good time for us to do it

Please don't panic. The council have a duty of care to you and your baby so if they kicked you out they will help you. I was in a situation where I was made homeless had to go into TA with my 2 month old. I am now in our home but it was a very stressful time. Please contact your local council explain your situation and ask what you should do. They may even be able to contact your landlord for you. They contacted mine

@Kerrie thanks! Then should I go to the Borough Hall and ask?

Yeah you could try. Or go to citizens advice

@Dara well anyone in this world would understand that a newborn-7 month old baby doesn’t understand about quiet hours so yes, it’s family discrimination

@Dara is that really a rule? That’s so crazy! So they expect a baby to be quiet and never cry that’s absolutely stupid And also what person in there right mind would put in a noise complaint because of a baby…they are a baby, babies cry 🤔🤦🏼‍♀️

They dont HAVE to renew you. If people are complaining they can do that.
