How in the world do y’all stay functional when you’re sick and have littles to take care of with no help?

I’m also sick as well as my bf and baby. Baby ran a fever of 102 my entire birthday (feb 4) and has been recovering since. We had plans to go to Miami for my birthday weekend and have my parents watch the baby. Woke up this morning and my bf and I both had serious cold/flu symptoms. And we came to find out that my mom had a misunderstanding on watching the baby overnight and thought we were taking him to Miami with us. I feel your pain. I’m a depressed sick anxious angry mess rn.
@Megan my baby doesn’t even like Ms. Rachel. He can withstand Ms. Moni for a whole 3 minutes.
Myself, my husband and our little boy all had horrendous colds last week. My little boy started his first last Tuesday. He was fine again by the weekend, but then me & my husband started feeling horrible. So whilst me & my husband had no energy, we had to cope with our little boy when he got all his energy back. Apart from my husband's parents coming over for a couple of hours on a Sunday, we just had to get on with it.
@Sarah that's funny because I think Ms Moni is a lot less annoying than Ms Rachel. My little boy won't watch either of them now, though 🫤

@Sarah whoever your baby loves just put them on and survive haha. We alternated between Ms Rachel, Ms Apple, Lucas the Spider and Bluey. Thankfully by the time we was ill he was over his sickness so he was more than happy to watch tv and play on the floor

We've all just had horrendous flu and usually my mother in law would come over and help but she was also sick with the flu. Ms Rachel was our co-parent and what an angel she was. I didn't feel an ounce of guilt either. It just meant I could rot on the sofa counting down the hours to nap time so I could also sleep x
