Absolutely go out for a walk etc as otherwise it'll really take its toll being stuck in! The first few weeks of babies life can be a challenge to get out, particularly for a first time parent. Why wouldn't it be safe? Providing you're not going to the middle of no where I don't see the issue. I'm still walking our dog regularly on my own as it's good to keep going and busy.
Why can’t you go out? I’m 37 weeks and still running around after my toddler taking her to different activities. Getting out and about will be good for you physically and mentally
Walking has been the one thing that's kept me sane with all my pregnancies. I have a corner shop 1/4 mile up the road and sometimes I just go and look round as an excuse to get out. Also, when baby arrives, walking round the block feels like such an achievement and gives you a boost. Just getting up, washed, dressed, and doing some light exercise to give you and baby fresh air; it's a real game changer!
Can you go out with someone, like a friend or your mum/sister? It’s really important to get fresh air even if they pick you up in the car and drive you somewhere for a short walk and a coffee or something! I’m trying to go for a walk every day but I understand the worry about going alone. Especially if you’re already on mat leave now you need to be super relaxed in this time, getting some gentle exercise and plenty of sleep. Hope you can figure something out ❤️
