Parents watching my baby when I’m sick

Is it selfish of me to have my parents watch my baby while his dad and I are really sick? We have horrible cold/flu symptoms and my baby had a fever 5 days ago so I think we got something from him. He’s 8 months old and he’s really congested but otherwise he is playing and acting normal. He’s not eating as much as he normally does but still has 5-8 wet diapers per day. He is staying with my parents this weekend since they offered to take him so we could recover. I feel really bad but I also don’t know how I could care for him being this sick.

You have a village and you’re using it! Don’t feel bad 🫶🏼

Asking for help is never selfish. You did the right thing. Always reach out when you need support. The worst a person can say is no.

Being sick and watching a baby is impossible. Use the help offered to you so you can recover and get back to being the badass mom that you are.

My parents are literally coming to pick my kids up in 2 hours for a sleepover because my husband and I both woke up this morning feeling like shit. Didn’t even ask, they offered.

Don’t feel bad at all! I don’t live near family, and me and my daughter were so poorly last week and it was horrific! I would absolutely have sent her to my parents if I could!

girl u are keeping ur baby safe don’t feel bad! i wish i had someone to watch my daughter when i got sick with high fever

He is feeling the effects of you not feeling well momma that is completely normal. I felt the same way when I was sick but you need all the help you can get and you don’t want your little one getting sick either! Feel better soon and just focus on feeling and getting better so you can go back to being the kick a** mom you are🫶

Take the help and support. They are your village. And it takes a village sometimes. ❤️ If he is feeling better he will probably have more fun with them while you guys are recovering anyways and now he gets time with his grandparents to bond.
