I just hate that I’ve got to ask for help. Sometimes it’s less effort for me just to do it!! Like get off your phone and help without me asking !!
I definitely find weekends harder than during the week and every other weekend we also have my partners 2 children as well so theres 4 in the place! It gets so hectic and i get stressed and theres not a lot of help either with the baby x
@Hannah yes! He’s always like “well if you asked me I’d have done it”… but why can’t you see the pile of bottles that need washing for yourself?!
Oh my god yes the housework never gets done unless i do it
I was finding this too. As you and the baby spend time together and have a loose routine, you both are comfortable with each other. Your husband is trying to be involved (which is a great thing) but doesn't have the same bonding with the baby. Change in routine, coupled with the overstimulation from your husband trying to bond with them, will be tiring for the baby. I suggest you talk to your husband about your routine with the baby, which will familiarise him with it, even if he isn't doing it daily. For e.g., when I change nappy, if he is around, I talk to my husband about particular things I lookout for or do and the reasonings behind it. Over time, my husband has become comfortable to change our baby's nappy without me asking him to do it or without me present. Obviosuly this is just an example but the idea is to communicate with each other and operate as a team. Also, hang in there, it will get easier. 😊❤️
