Stepkid comes over dirty no matter what.

We’ve had a million talks with mom and it’s pointless. We’re honestly at a loss. Mom will let the 5 year old do her own make up and leave it until it stains her face, she will put color chalk and spray in her hair and not wash it out, and lately the new thing is mom using tattoo template ink all over the kids body. It’d be one thing if she actually ya know washed the stuff off but she doesn’t. She will leave it for days, even send kid to school with it like that all week long. There’s so many days where we have to scrub the kids face and arms before we drop her off at school ( we do all school drop offs/ pickups even during mom’s time). The last several months we’ve had to throw out every pair of underwear she came over in because they’re full of shit streaks, clothes are always stained with paint and food despite us sending her in clean ones every time, and there’s many times she comes with dirt all over her feet, or some random sticky shit stuck to her body or hair that we cannot get out. The kid has even told us before that her mom tells her to lie to us about how often she’s bathing. I’m mentally drained from it all and just wish mom would step up or give her over.

Thats neglect she needs to be removed from moms care

@Autumn This has been an issue for years, it was even worse when they gave mom primary custody 2 years ago. Thousands of dollars and 2 or 3 cps cases later, dad finally got her mom to agree to 50/50. They go back to court in a couple months to fight for time changes and stricter custody agreement.

Yeah I would definitely document what’s going on take pictures whatever you can to prove she’s not being taken care of properly and maybe when u go back to court ask for full custody especially if your picking her up and dropping her off at school everyday anyway.

@Kels🌸 That was the plan. If she wants to be a friend and not a parent why not just have fun with her on the weekends. We’ve been documenting forever and have enough to prove these aren’t one off issues, they’re continuous and consistent. There’s sooo many other issues as well it’s just exhausting. Constantly feels like we’re playing catch up and clean up with her. Like the first several days she’s back we’re getting her back to a baseline just for her to return regressed.

I completely understand! I’ve had issues with this and my step kids too! Particularly my SD’s hair. Her mom doesn’t bother learning how to take care of it and she comes over looking like an orphan half the time. Stay strong! Best of luck with court!
