If you know how much he earns there is a calculator online you can use to work how much he would have to pay
If you know his earnings you can go online and get a calculation. It is based on how much he earns, how many nights a week he has your child and also whether he has any other dependants living with him.
@Sophie Knights he works two jobs but is at uni part time
If you know how much he earns you can do what lauryn said x
@Lauryn I have no idea how much he earns unfortunately, he’s always been really secretive about it but he’s always had nice clothes, never doesn’t have money for spontaneous outings, food and holidays ect…
@Rebecca no I don’t unfortunately:/ ohh okay well he doesn’t ever have our child overnight and no other children
If you had an open discussion about the expenses of providing for the child, that's one thing... but I've never heard a man tell a woman not to put him on support & he'll give what he can & it be a fair amount. Sounds like he's bullshitting you because he knows A) the courts will make him pay more B) he knows there are potential legal repercussions for not paying what he's court ordered to pay.
I guess it depends if you feel the amount he gives is fair and reasonable then. Some people live on credit so he might not have as much as he makes out.
Does the dad work?
