Don't feel bad for time for yourself alone without husband. Husband chose to be a parent too so if he is fine with it, let him! I'm sure he is capable! I don't leave my kids long periods of time but if you have work that's understandable! Don't worry about asking for help from family!
I stepped down to part time at work for this exact feeling. Now that I work less i have found it's not as hard to ask for/take a break. But we are lucky to be in a financial space to take a pay cut from my end.
Same here Jenn. Mom guilt is real- I have it, my therapist had it herself. I hear it takes practice continuing to make time for yourself. Helpful framing for me has been to think about how I want my daughter to treat herself - I’d tell her to get that massage, go on that date with her hubby, enjoy the 30 minutes if she got off early from work and just sit and doing nothing. Trying to take my own advice.
