Don’t want to feel that I am my only one

Are you guys get anything done, I don’t cook or clean just in surviving mood trying to to healthy as much as I can since I breastfeed but it’s hard my baby during the day only do contact nap so every two hours I have like 15 min to do what ever I can to do eat, shower, play with him or make some food then get back to the couch to nurse and being in nap trap sometimes I nap with and the other I can’t so i am still sleep deprived! Does that normal ?or it’s only me ? My baby has reflux and possibly tongue tie and I have a lot of hope after I get that fixed I can do other stuff! I just want to be able to make myself healthy meal and go for a walk and clean the apartment a little bit for my mental health!

Have you tried baby wearing ?

Unfortunately, some babies are like that. My son was and I was dreading the newborn stage again with my daughter, but she's been so much easier. Definitely try baby wearing. Also, you should keep trying to put the baby down. They will eventually learn, but it'll be frustrating for a while. My son loved sleeping on his tummy, so I would do that during daytime naps and keep a close eye on him. Gripe water also helps and look up foods that might increase gas to avoid eating those. Maybe invite a family member, friend, or coworker who's offered help and just ask them to hold the baby so you can get some stuff done. I know it's rough, but I promise it eventually gets better.

My baby is 6 weeks old and will only sleep in the bassinet/crib if he’s swaddled, otherwise he startles himself up. He also sleeps in the car seat/stroller after he’s fed, so maybe try that? Another thing is contact nap: being held or being worn in the sling. Good luck!

Girl I cook but that’s about it my baby only sleeps on my chest, if I put her down she cries. It’s honestly mentally draining to not be able to do the things I need to do. My house is a disaster and I’m running on no sleep! I totally get it! This isn’t easy!

I haven’t been able to get her to sleep in the baby carriers I hate the moby and she won’t sleep in the ergo

I'm sorry 💓 you're definitely not alone. When I start feeling like that, I repeat to myself that this will not last forever.

I was struggling until I started using my carrier and baby wearing him when I had things to door I put him in his bouncer he likes to sleep in my arms but I read somewhere if you wait ten to thirteen minutes after they fall asleep and put him down gently from feet butt and then head it won’t startle his reflex and he will sleep since he’s in a deeper state and it’s worked quite well so far

I also tried the ring sling which my baby likes most of the time. Definitely fits different from a Momcozy or those other carriers.

My baby is the same way! I’ve pretty much just accepted it. I have the solly baby wrap and she loves it! It takes a couple times getting used to it but once you do it’s amazing. Everyday for the afternoon nap I try putting her down when she’s in deep sleep, it works 50% of the time.

Sorry to hear they have reflux. That’s hard! I was kinda struggling like this until we started making the switch to bottle feeding. My baby was eating faster and staying fuller for longer so I was able to get more done. Something that was a game changer for me was my husband started doing his feeding around 6/7 am before he went to work and even though I am exhausted I took advantage of that time and started showering even if it meant I went back to bed after. Also no I hardly cook so don’t feel bad! I know it’s more expensive but we do a meal prep service and it’s been life saving. You should look into that! And remember you’re an amazing mom!

@Maria I was going to say the same thing, I have a 3 year old and an 8 week old and if my baby boy is abit unsettled or whining I put him in the baby carrier that way I can clean, tidy up, wash bottles and play with my little girl it makes life so much easier

My baby also has reflux. I get like 15 minutes a day to clean and 10 to shower and change. Luckily my partner cooks some of the meals but I’ve lost 32lbs because I can’t keep up with the calories necessary. You aren’t alone

Girl same! I have a toddler too, whew! We got her tongue tie released 2 weeks ago. It has been a game changer! I would baby wear when possible and put her down and let her cry (short period) while I got something done. She tolerates being put down better now. My husband helps out a whole lot! I try to clean up after my self like putting lunch away. But getting the dishwasher emptied and filled is hit or miss. Laundry gets washed but not put away.

@Usinger I have tongue tie appointment next week and I found out he sensitive to dairy in my diet

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. If my daughter was sensitive to dairy I would have switched her to formula. That’s not something I could cut out. I hope you get some good news in the next week and relief comes soon!
