It's like the worst compliment ever but it means they're fully comfortable to show their messy selves with you and they'll hold it in a bit more with other people. Annoying but try to see the sweet side 😂
@Lucy this is honestly exactly the same as my daughter!! I've worried so many times that maybe I'm doing something wrong or she just doesn't like me that much. I feel like I sound ridiculous when I tell people how she is with me because it's such a 180 to how she is with other people. If my boyfriend wasn't in the house I honestly don't think he would believe me.
@Caroline I love that she's comfortable with me but I'd love it even more if her dad got the slightest taste of it too 😂😂😂
@Amaya I feel you! It's been similar in our house for years as we have an older child too 😂
Kind of. I mean it’s when they get used to people. We see my family often enough that they are pretty comfortable around them. But they still sometimes aren’t as outgoing around them. But with us they’ll do whatever
17 month old son here and we are the same!!!!
I work with parents to support their child’s mental health & just about every mum has said something similar 😭 it’s very normal & it doesn’t feel positive but it’s definitely a sign she feels most comfortable with you
Yesss! My son seems to be having constant tantrums and crying when he's with me at the moment. He wants me constantly by his side. However when he's with Dad/Grandparents/Nursery he's calm and plays independently. I've heard the same thing, that it's because we're their safe space to release emotions. It's tough though!
