Making actual friendships?

So I’ve been on here for about 4 or 5 months now and off and on for about 2 years, I’ve chatted with a couple of girls who I thought I could really connect with. All of these “conversations” and “connections” have not gone anywhere. Now I know we ALL have things going on in our lives and we are all busy moms. But I just thought we were all on here to make friends with each other, get to know each other and meet up or hang out with just us or the kiddos if that’s something we’re comfortable with. Now I know I’m not the best at responding right away but I at least put in the effort even if it’s a couple days or a week. I’m not looking for sympathy or anything like that, I’m curious to see if anyone on here is making or has made any friendships where you girls actually hangout and spend time together with they’re littles or just with the mommas?

Yes, I have made one friend on here. We have hung out multiple times but she does live 2 hours away. I do find it hard to connect with people locally.

@SarahThat’s really good 😊 I’m happy for you. Like I wouldn’t mind driving or meeting up somewhere if they are comfortable just to hangout but I can’t even get as far as just getting comfortable with someone. It just seems like a lot of ppl are just afraid to make friends😢😩

I feel you entirely. I thought I genuinely made about 5/6 good connections on here but it's just been left. In all fairness, I don't use the app anymore as much as I used to, mainly for that reason and just time. I made one friendship from here and she is lovely. We've only met up once with our children but been arranging more. But I really hear this, I kinda thought the whole point of the app was to make connections.

@Natasha This app just feels like a safer Facebook and Reddit. I just want to make actual friends and for our kiddies to hangout. Is that to much to ask😩😭

It will happen with time, it took a while for me to get a connection. Alot of people are on here to pass time just like any other app.

I’ve had a lot of people reach out and then ghost, I personally don’t care because obviously the connection would’ve never been genuine anyways lol I’ve even joined group chats and the group chats go sour! Like why waste your time creating group chats if you’re not going to engage?? Just gave you my number for nothing!😂
