When do they learn fear?

Hi my son doesn’t have any fear! He climbs on things and just chucks himself off and even if he gets upset he’ll try and do it again. We were at a soft play and he wanted to go down a big slide I tried to get him on my knee but settled for holding hands. He went all over the place but found it funny. He went charging up again and sat down before me and just went off and obviously bumped his head and got upset. This has been happening for awhile and it’s great that he’s so confident but just doesn’t have that fear

I don't have any advice I'm afraid, but my little boy is exactly the same!

You need to redirect them. Give warning all the time eventually they understand.

Unfortunately my son is the exact opposite! He is a right chicken (obviously I don’t say this to him) he is often too scared to go down slides at soft play, or go on roundabouts, or anything id love to be able to do with him. I really don’t know where it’s come from. We try to gently encourage him to do things but obviously don’t force him if he says he doesn’t want to, or is scared. Any tips on how to help him be a little more adventurous greatly received 😂
