Mine can say a few words and seems to understand the meanings of them all except for mama and dada 🤦🏼♀️🤣 she thinks mama is food and dada is every human she sees. She can say Boo, uh oh, mama, dada, awwww, bubble and ta. She will moo if i ask her what a cow says and snort if i ask her what a pig says. They all learn different things at different times, though, so i wouldn't worry about words too much at the moment. They're still only tiny with so much to learn 🩷 x
Mine says like 4 variations of dada, in English and Portuguese but no mama or other words. He does understand words like kiss, give, let go and other instructions but be just babbles. I see a lot of my friends baby girls already walking and talking whilst my boy and some other boys his age haven't developed in those departments yet. Thank you for sharing x
My LO says mama, dada, baba etc but I do swear I think they have said daddy, tickle tickle, cuddle to name a few but unsure
Mines 13 months and can only say Ball, uh oh, meow and huff like a panting dog, and syllables like ma, ya, ga and ba. I’ve honestly been worried and thinking she has a bit of a speech delay as she only started babbling around 7 months but doesn’t use her voice much :/
"Quack quack quack "
I know girls tend to progress quicker than boys with talking/walking etc so I'm trying not to overthink my little boy not saying a lot
My little girl can say and understand around 20 words but she’s very social and not very physical - she still hasn’t crawled!! They’re honestly all so so different x
Not super clearly but he says the vowels right, such as titty for a cat hahah. I I say do you want to get out, he say gouth
My daughter can say a few words Bubble pop, no, oh wow, oh yeah, mum, mumma, dada, she says fff which is for our bearded dragon Puff,
My little one can say hiya bye mama dada all gone xx
my son says hello, bye, mama, dada, nana, what’s that, look/under there, ball, dog, bird, cuddle, bottle, dumdum(dummy), ta, boo, woof woof, uh oh, oh dear, up, clap hands, and “five” for a high five
Well not really! He says ‘mama’ rarely, he’s just now starting to say ‘papá’ (dad in portuguese), he says ‘anda’ (which is ‘come’ in portuguese) and he babbles loads and tries to say a lot but no much yet🤣🤣 he does love his binky and I’m trying to hide it during the day to see if it’ll help more! But honestly I’m not too worried! He decided to master his legs first, he’s running around the house as if he’s 3 years old already, there’s no stopping him!!!!!🤣
Not really, he says dada (but doesn't have one so it's only a babble), doesn't say mama but I get some variations of words (I think) like yeah (ya or ah) and cuddle (udda) but I'm not sure if those are actually words or him babbling as they're not consistent. They say their first word can be any time from 8-14 months. Don't worry too much about speech yet, you can always get flashcards and spend an hour a day (in 15 minute intervals throughout the day) just sitting with them and practicing words
