My son does the same, and I try to distract him by giving him one of his toys or making him laugh. I understand cause I don't want my son to hurt himself like that

My son did this. I’ve heard it’s very common and he stopped doing it on his own. I think he hit it too hard and realized that it hurt. I tried to stop him when I could but sometimes I couldn’t. I think it sounds bad to just let them and they’ll figure it out but if you always stop them then they won’t realize.

Mine started this about 2 weeks ago. I hate it. I hope this stage passes soon.
