Is anyone else finding playgroups and baby groups really cliquey?
I've tried 3 different groups locally to us and everyone always comes in pairs and doesn't want to talk to others, very few times I've been there is someone else on their own. How are we meant to make friends?😅

I’ve noticed that nobody talks to each other. I haven’t noticed the cliques.
People can be quite nervous and once they’ve established a bond/friendship they feel safety in that. If you’re somebody new coming in they don’t know you or how you act ect. I get it’s hard but i try to remember theh might be feeling tne exact same way I am, theyre just lucky enough to have thise people.
with things like that it just takes ONE person to be the leader, intermingle and put themselves out there and usually the cliques merge fairly quickly but if nobody takes that step it’s hard. hopefully u find a fit in the group soon 🤍

It might be people they met at that group or another one. I’m always sat with someone at baby groups because we go to lots and know people from all the others. I’m still happy to chat to everyone it’s just comforting to be near people we’ve already met.
