happy valentine’s day

i’m sorry if you already saw this, it wasnt a poll i had to fix it. i made sure everyone in our house had something today. i love doing it. what hurt was that my partner made it seem like he had something planned until yesterday when the story changed. now it’s when he gets paid he’ll do something. i didn’t expect anything, so it wouldn’t have hurt my feelings. of course it’s not fun that he didn’t do anything, but i like getting into the festivities either way. it actually more hurts my feelings that he made a point of trying to ensure i was excited for today knowing he had nothing. i have told him that i would always love cards, even just a note on coloured paper, he has always said that isn’t enough. most years he tells me he’ll get something later and it gets forgotten. it seems giving no gift is better than one that isn’t good enough. it doesn’t usually bother me, just this time was really hurtful. i may just sound like a brat anyways, and i apologize if i do. either way, happy valentine’s day everyone 🩷
