Flowers

My secret weapon is going to the Giant Farmers market in my city and buying flowers for whoever whenever. So yes my husband has definitely gotten a bouquet before! Unfortunately it does kind of feel like I'm buying them for myself but it's the thought that counts right. I'll also usually get some homemade pasta, fresh bread and vegetables and use all of that to cook our Valentine's meal.

I mean I’m a lesbian now but before I didn’t… but I was just talking with my son about this last night… he’s 10… and I asked him how he would feel if I got him flowers since I’m getting his sister some… and he said he doesn’t know… so I’m gonna get him a little orchid and see how it goes lol

That's interesting! I once got an Edible Arrangement for him if it counts. 😂 we called it being "long-distance fruited". I wonder how many more would want them but won't admit to it because masculinity.

I read a stat last year that said the first time most men get flowers is at their funeral.. so my kids and I went out and got hubby flowers that same day 😂 he loved that we thought about him and didn’t want him to be in that statistic but also like.. I won’t do it again cuz I just know he’d enjoy other things more

My husband is then in the 40%. He hates buying me flowers, he says they just die after a week, but I'll tell him when I want them and he'll buy them for me. So no, he would hate getting flowers

Today I gifted my husband flowers, a balloon, a card, chocolate and a six pack of beer. He loved it lol!

No he wouldn't care about flowers and rarely even buys them for me but he does care about a burger. But I did buy my 3 year old boy and 7 month old girl a flower today because of this statistic.

@Autumn I typically buy them in conjunction with something else lol flowers really aren’t that expensive so it’s a quick way to do both

@Daija yes I absolutely love flowers I actually buy them from a local florist pretty often myself because my husband doesn’t care for them much, he’d much rather i make food or a special dessert he likes to show appreciation

I didn’t have much money and we didn’t do shit either due to that, our relationship being a weird place rn, and he is also working late today. I ended up getting him a balloon and some flowers. They weren’t nothing over the top or anything. I’m just waiting to see his reaction when he gets home later tonight. This is the first time I ever bought him flowers.

I bought a bouquet of flowers a few years ago for his birthday and had it displayed with his presents and card on the table. He said he never thought he’d receive flowers because it’s not something people do lmao 😂 he did say he appreciated them

I bought my husband a fancy cactus once.

I buy him daffodils every year when they first come into the shops, he loves them as they remind him of his childhood garden back home.

No, I read a similar article before and asked him if he’d like flowers and he said he wasn’t bothered so I just left it. I’d rather get him something he’d love/enjoy. But reading the funeral thing has made me feel sad and like I want to just buy him some anyway!

Yes I have but he really couldn’t care less lmao. I’d rather pick him some and make a sentimental bouquet or get something he really likes instead. Sometimes if I go to the store and see flowers I want to buy for myself or the house I’ll gift it to him or my mom so I can see them and give them lil butterflies too or something while I’m at it 😄 win win aha

Yes I buy flowers and chocolates for my man because he likes them. Valentine's Day is all about the LOVE 🥰 and my favorite part is loving on my husband. And yes he does the same for me and more 😁
