Update

I posted this a while back (says 2 weeks ago) and she started walking about a week ago! Don’t get me wrong she still mostly crawls and we still have to encourage the walking however she’s definitely taken her first steps, and she’s done ‘a few steps’ (10ish) loads of times now. No running yet but it’s definitely a start! 🥰

Yay! How exciting:) She will be primarily walking before you know it ! Now that she is walking, she will become more confident on her own and then decide it is a better way to get around haha

Thanks for the update, I was actually wondering this, as little one started to stand for a few seconds lately.

Happy for you. My LO stands for minutes, uses his walker perfectly well, hold on to us to walk, but has not taken his first steps. Did you do anything to encourage your LO to take steps on her own?

@Abiola yeah so my partner had the idea of her holding her toy baby, (she’s obsessed with it) him holding it too, but then him letting go whilst trying to get her to walk between the two of us! As they she didn’t realise he’d let go kinda thing. That kinda worked. But it was just the general us sat close together encouraging one to the other loads. Also the 2 ball trick!! I can’t lie that’s when she mostly walks when she’s got 2 balls 😂😂😂 so I recommend that! Also massive praise when she does it. Clapping yay well done etc big hug - as mostly walks to us still
