First day at nursery

Just left my little boy (he's 9 months) at nursery for his first settling in session 9am - 11am. I'm not going back to work for another month or so but we are starting small and building up. He was happy when I left but I don't know what to do with myself so I've just gone for a coffee and I'm worrying. Anyone got some nice first day stories to make me feel better? Xx

He will be so busy playing and interacting with the other babies, the time will fly by and he will barely notice you've gone! It's so much worse for us than it is for them! My little one started nursery last week and did so so well, sleeping, eating etc. I was fully expecting a phone call to pick her up but she had a whale of a time. Enjoy the peace, get some cake and it will soon be pick up time x

I went for my breakfast first time I left my boy and cried 🤣 he’ll love it, don’t feel guilty, enjoy the peace xx

Following for some nice stories! I’m popping my little girl into nursery when she’s 10/11 months and I’m so nervous!💕

I went back 2 weeks ago. My little girl was happy for her settling in sessions. When I dropped her off last week she cried when I gave her to the nursery staff, who took her inside and I could hear her stop crying 10 seconds later!

She started at 3 months. I was still on maternity leave so I went home and cook me a nice meal , while I cooked I called to check in or her then ate and took a nap lol. Now she loves the staff

Thanks everyone ❤️ He was playing when I left but then did cry quite a lot when he noticed. But then he had a nap there and took a bottle of expressed milk (was worried about this one!) He did some playing and cried when it was time to get his coat on. He was happy when I picked him up. So I think he begrudgingly was okay 😆 Next one is the afternoon so think he might be a bit more ready to play 🙏
