Guilty for doing nothing!?

So I'm a single mum to a 3 year old boy. We do everything together, go everywhere together. I work 4 days a week and he's in preschool on those days. Today I dropped him off at preschool but instead of heading to work I came home because I've booked the day off. I quickly rushed round to sort some washing but other than that the house is always up together so nothing more to do. I've just sat down with a coffee and instantly riddled with guilt for doing nothing!? And feeling awful for still sending him in when I'm not working!? Does anybody else get this way? 😭

I used to but not anymore. We do not have any help with our children so if I want some time alone I book a day off when they're at school and nursery.

Pleas don’t feel guilty and enjoy the time, you are allowed. I also work 4 days and last week my off day fell on a nursery day, it felt like a reset button.

You’re exactly the same as me, single parent to a 3 year old, work 4 days and he goes to preschool. Do not feel guilty, it’s hard work and we deserve a rest! I’ve taken a week off work before just to have some me time.

Noo enjoy the time! You deserve it. I've booked tomorrow off on leave when my son will be in nursery and my plans are to take time to me, because I never get it! And we deserve and need it. Put your feet up and enjoy :)

Having time off to relax allows you to have the energy for being a great mum the rest of the time! We need it! Don't feel guilty at all

You have nothing to feel guilty about, he will be having a great time with his friends. You deserve some YOU time. Relax put your feet up you deserve it ❤️
