Crawling tips

Have a baby girl who is desperate to crawl, but she gets in position then her legs get stuck! I uncross them but then she just falls on floor! Any tips to encourage? She’s getting sooo frustrated!

My 8.5 mo is the same but he's learnt to stand and pull up now so he's less frustrated. But my eldest learnt to crawl by putting snacks out of reach. He'd work out a way to get them, then I moved them further and further out of reach. She'll get there in her own time.

@Sophie we did the same with the snacks too 😂 But yeah you just have to persevere and wait for them to do it really, it’s painful to watch sometimes lol, but they’ll eventually get it! We’re very close now, he was getting his leg stuck but he’s sorted that out now!

Our little man is the same! It’s so hard when they’re frustrated about not being able to move as much :( my little man is a roller and army crawls around the bed ahaha x

Stability before movement. I hold my baby’s knees in position while she concentrates on staying up on her arms, also playing on knees (supported) with toys in front on a slightly higher surface are all good ways to help.

My son did about 4-6 weeks of crying very frustrated not being able to crawl but wanting to, and then he just did it! We spent 4-5 hours a day on the floor playing with toys and lots of tummy time but i don’t really think anything i did helped, he just figured it out x
