It could be a tongue tie problem. Get your LO assessed

@Jub he doesn't have it

He has wind. Wind him. When they don’t latch, it’s because they have wind.

I switched to using nipple shields and they have been a savior.. sometimes sucking is too much of an effort for them

Have you tried nipple shields? They can be tedious for you but I swear by them. My LO wasn't Latching at all but the second I put one on helatched straight away and we've had no issues since. Also as mentioned try winding them first. I also find taking a break can help sometimes as you can both just start to get upset and frustrates and it doesn't help so putting the down or giving to someone else (even if crying) can help just reset you both.

Have you tried doing skin to skin so baby in nappy, you topless, belly to belly. They'll root around and try and latch self. My daughter (now 9, fed 2y) wasn't great at latching but got better using that technique and it took the pressure off me to latch her on properly x

Are your breasts really fully? My baby had trouble latching when they were too full so I had to hand express a bit first

My baby does this when she has wind
